The Lower Elementary program is a community of children aged 6 through 9 (grades 1 through 3). This is an exciting time as children become increasingly skilled readers and engaging writers, as well as enthusiastic in exploring mathematics, history, geography and other sciences and world cultures.

The Lower Elementary Program builds on areas of emphasis in language and mathematics to open doors for children to use their new skills to explore their own specific areas of interest. Children enjoy the many opportunities to participate in music and art activities, as well as field trips.

Children continue to build upon the academic, social, and personal foundation they've built in the primary program as they transition to the Corvallis Montessori School elementary program.
