Upper Elementary

Children continue to build upon the academic, social, and personal foundation they've built in the primary program as they transition to the Corvallis Montessori School elementary program. Their imaginative sparks develop as they are guided to deeper and broader explorations of the universe. Each child follows a dynamic individualized curriculum which incorporates sciences, art, language, mathematics, geography, history, and other fields of study. Activities include recreational sports, class meetings, going out to community resources, cooking, and animal care. The Montessori approach follows the emerging traits of the child at this level of development.

The upper elementary program is a community of children aged 9-12 (grades 3-6).

After graduating from the elementary program, CMS alumni continue their formal education successfully in public, private, or home schools.
