Why Give?
Corvallis Montessori School is a non-profit organization, 501(c). Our school is tuition driven, but we also depend on private donations of time and money to continue our mission. Consider asking your employer if they offer a charitable contribution matching program. Many employers, including HP, match their employees' charitable contributions. Corvallis Montessori School may also be listed as Corvallis Montessori Society in certain companies search engines.
This 2011-2012 academic year, the school is in need of funds to support a set of capital improvement and related projects. The estimated $5,000 in funds are needed to complete the following projects:
- New windows for Cedar Room ($3,500): If we replace the single-paned windows there now, we will reduce our heating and cooling costs. We will also replace the deteriorating frames so our air conditioning units can be properly secured.
- Rewiring the school’s data communications network ($1,000): The current networking box is not properly configured and, as a result, the network frequently fails. Rewiring the data communications box would give CMS a reliable network.
- Acoustical tiles for the Music and Movement room ($500): The new room has a great deal of echo, which makes the room difficult to use. Acoustical tiles would enable CMS to use it to its full potential.
